Jimmy Walker won his first Major Championship with a win at Baltursrol Golf Club.

The American has previously won five PGA Tour titles and appeared on one Ryder Cup Team for the USA.

Walker got his final round going with a chip in on the 10th from a greenside bunker and that followed up with a long birdie he holed on the 11th green.

Walker made a vital birdie on the 17th that allowed him to par the final hole and to win his first Major Championship.

An iron from the tee, 3-wood into the right hand greenside rough, a wedge to the middle of the green and a two-putt meant that the American, who hails from Texas, could lift the trophy.
