Nike introduces new Method MOD putters

Nike Golf has announced the launch of a new line of Method MOD putters, which feature Polymetal Groove Technology.

The new range - inspired by popular putter models from the past four decades - is a fusion of tradition and innovation, with Nike engineers making a number of technological and aesthetical changes to modify the popular Method line.   Pre-existing shapes and styles have been updated with a unique arc-design, red detailing and a stain chrome finish to create four new premium-milled Nike Method MOD putters.

"We were able to take a range of classic designs and make them perform like modern putters," said David Franklin, Nike Golf's master model-maker.

"We incorporated Polymetal Groove technology, which allows athletes to lift the ball, launch it and turn it forwards as quickly as possible for a truer roll.

"We removed weight from the centre, placing it in the heel and toe instead for a lower and deeper centre of gravity.

"It's Nike's interpretation on classic, familiar shapes."

The Nike Method MOD putter line offers a variety of toe hang options, determined by where the weight is in relation to the putter head. Each model is also weighted to length for optimal feel.

The MOD line is comprised of the MOD 00 (face-balanced), the MOD 30 (30 degrees of toe hang), the MOD 60 (60 degrees of toe hang) and the MOD 90 (90 degrees of toe hang).

The Nike Method MOD putters - available from November 1 - come with a RRP of £180.
