Powakaddy Drives the Home Nation’s Elite Amateur Golfers as England Successfully Defend the Raymond Trophy
Electric trolley brand PowaKaddy, provided a fleet of powered trolleys for the four home nations teams as they competed throughout the recent Home Internationals at Ganton Golf Club.
The teams from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland were equipped with PowaKaddy's Freeway SPORT, as they went head-to-head in the hotly contested annual Matchplay tournament that saw an impressive England team successfully defend the Raymond Trophy, after beating Scotland 9-6 on the final day at Ganton.
PowaKaddy has a longstanding reputation for supporting amateur golf at all levels, and for the past 3 years has been the Official Trolley Supplier to England Golf, making the advantages of using an electric trolley in both practice and competitive play available to the country's most promising young golfers.
John deGraft-Johnson, PowaKaddy's Chairman said, "We are committed to supporting the development of the next generation of golfing superstars and we are thrilled that all the teams chose to take advantage of the performance & fitness benefits using a PowaKaddy electric trolley brings to their game."
Director of Performance for England Golf Nigel Edwards, thanked PowaKaddy for providing a fleet of trolleys at this year's Home Internationals.
He added that ‘Golfers need to conserve as much energy as possible during a round and need to avoid injuries that may occur from carrying, so having the use of PowaKaddy's Freeway SPORT ensured all the players were at their physical best in the four days of competition."
At the beginning of 2013, PowaKaddy launched its performance-infused Freeway Family encompassing a new Freeway model, an enhanced Freeway Digital+ and the new Freeway SPORT, with the latter being the rebranded PK SPORT model.
