43 time winner Sam Torrance signed a multi-year extension with John Letters of Scotland at The Senior Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

The agreement will see the 59 year Old Scotsman continue to play and promote John Letters equipment, and work closely with the company in research and development to produce golf clubs that make the game easier.

“I am delighted to be re-signing with John Letters. I have forged a great relationship with John Andrew the Managing Director; he has endless enthusiasm for golf and I am very confident in his ability to produce world class golf equipment” said the eight-time Ryder Cup player and victorious European Ryder Cup Captain.

Torrance rejoins a host of other tour professionals such as Fred Daly, Dai Rees, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Cathy Panton, Bernard Gallacher, Darren Clarke and Paul Lawrie who all played with John Letters equipment on tour, over the course of their 95 year history.

“We are lucky to have such a supporter of the brand. Sam is a legend and great to work with, so we had no hesitation in re-signing him.

We work closely with him in R&D to produce equipment that golfers can use and improve their game” commented John Letters Managing Director, John Andrew.
