The Srixon UltiSoft golf ball is the brand’s softest ever ball, and should suit mid and slow swinging golfers

The launch of the Srixon UltiSoft golf ball sees Srixon join what is becoming a low compression trend, and it does so in a big way with a ball that it is calling its softest ever.

It was possible thanks to an innovative new core design that produces softer feel and maximises energy transfer at impact for more long game distance.

This new low compression core also creates higher launch angle and lower spin, resulting in straighter distance, which is further boosted by its 324 Speed Dimple pattern that reduces drag in flight to produce a penetrating trajectory.

The Srixon UltiSoft is a two-piece golf ball

The Srixon UltiSoft golf ball joins the popular AD333 as a two-piece offering, and has been in the making for over two-years while the brand’s R&D team ensured every element of the manufacturing process was closely scrutinised.

Designed specifically for golfers with low to mid swing speeds, it also features a thinner and soft Ionomer cover that enhances feel and control though the bag.

Telling GM more about the UltiSoft, Ben Davis, brand manager at Srixon, told GM: “The UltiSoft is a ball that helps golfers with lower swing speeds achieve maximum distance and even softer feel.

“Our proprietary E.C.G. core allows us to make a ball with lower compression that feels softer, but still maintains maximum initial velocity. Generally speaking low compression means low initial velocity; however, our Proprietary E.C.G. technology has been improved based on material and structural development and made it possible to maintain repulsion and lower compression at the same time, ensuring neither feel nor distance is compromised.”

Srixon golf balls are used on tour by players including Graeme McDowell, Keegan Bradley, Shane Lowry, Russell Knox, JB Holmes, Hideki Matsuyama, KJ Choi and Miguel Angel Jimenez.
