Titleist has widened its flat-stick line-up with the introduction of the Scotty Cameron Select Roundback

Titleist has widened its flat-stick line-up with the introduction of the Scotty Cameron Select Roundback.

It was unveiled at the same time as four new Scotty Cameron GOLO putters and sits alongside the Select Fastback and the Select Squareback.

According to Titleist, the Roundback is a modern mid-mallet design with tour-validated balance and stability.

Like its counterparts, the Select Roundback has criss-cross sight lines, but its fully-rounded shape is a slightly different to the other two models.

The Squareback, unsurprisingly, has a boxed shape, while the Fastback has rounded corners.

All Scotty Cameron select putters are precision-milled to provide impressive looks, sound and feel.

Weights in the heel and toe are proportional to the shaft length for balance and stability, while an anodized aluminum sole-plate provides the base for a thicker, and more solid, steel face.

Select Roundback, Fastback and Squareback putters all feature vertical and horizontal sight lines on the back flange.

These are positioned directly between a golfer’s eyes to help square the putter face at impact.

“Alignment is a huge trend on tour, and having multiple sight lines on a head works to benefit many golfers,” said Scotty Cameron.

“If you have difficulty setting up to the ball and squaring the face at impact, this is a great option.

“If you set the putter too far forward, the criss-cross will make the face appear closed. If you put it too far back, it will look open.”

The Select Roundback putter comes complete with a Scotty Cameron Pistolero grip, which is slightly larger than standard.

The Scotty Cameron Select Roundback putter goes on sale worldwide from March 3, 2015 with a RRP of £279.
