Troon to manage Taba Heights and El Gouna

Troon Golf Management will take charge of Orascom Hotels and Development's two championship courses in Egypt

Golf management company, Troon, has been appointed by Orascom Hotels and Development, to manage its world-class facilities at Taba Heights and El Gouna in Egypt.

The agreement will see Troon bring its expertise to the two 18-hole courses in Egypt and enhance its continued progression as a recognised golf tourism destination.

Taba Heights is located 20 miles from Taba International Airport on the east coast of the Sinai Peninsula. The 18-hole desert layout was designed by John Sanford and has been voted the number one course in Egypt.

El Gouna is the Red Sea's premier leisure destination. The golf course here was designed by Gene Bates and Fred Couples.

Managing director of Troon EMEA, Bruce Glasco, said: "Our agreement with Orascom Hotels and Development is another significant signing for Troon's EMEA portfolio.
