Picture the shot
On the tee my initial move is to stand behind the ball and pick a target.
First I select a primary spot a few yards ahead of the ball. Next I identify something in the distance on the same line.
It's a big theme in Bob Rotella's books to choose something really specific and I like to do that.
But I also like to have a "frame" as well so I'll pick something on the left and right edges of the fairway. I imagine two boundary lines and one in the middle and that's all I see.
It blocks out the rest of the junk.
