Tim Clark swing analysis

Tim Clark: Good leg action

By finishing alone in second place at the 2006 Masters, Tim Clark underlined his status as one of the leading players on the international stage.

The South African may only stand at 5ft 7in and weigh just 10st 7lb but he makes the most of his slight frame, averaging a respectable 276 yards off the tee.

His relative power can largely be attributed to a strong leg action through the ball.

Notice how he drives his right knee towards the target through impact, lifting his heel before striking the ball.

This movement is perfectly timed, transferring his weight onto his left side and producing a powerful strike without compromising control.
