Take aim
I am not one of those players who has a long, meticulous pre-shot routine – but I do concentrate on my aim.
I tee the ball up, then stand back and look down the fairway, picking a specific target.
I then identify a spot on the grass just in front of my ball, directly on my line – I make sure I swing the clubhead straight over this point after impact to ensure I'm hitting down my target line.
