Keep your target small
One way to block out the trouble that surrounds the fairway is to eye up a very small target.
To do this, create a circle with your fingers and thumb and pick out an exact spot to fire towards.
Then concentrate on this spot as you prepare to hit the ball and you should avoid any negative thoughts that can cause a restricted swing and a poor contact with the ball.
