Golf Monthly spoke to top 25 coach Andrew Jones to get his top golf tips on mastering crosswinds with your driver to help you stop that slice and gain confidence when teeing off in a nasty left-to-right wind.

You struggle with a slice in a left-to-right wind with your driver
You have no confidence playing in crosswinds
Pro-Tip Fix
For most right-handed golfers, the worst wind direction is off the left (the opposite rules apply for left-handers).
In this situation, it's easy to let the shot get away from you and leak the ball right with your driver. Finding a way to combat this is essential, especially if you are a regular on links courses.
My most effective golf tip to do this is to simply toe the club in at address. Turn the top of your driver before you take your grip so the face is pointing slightly left of your target.
Now make a normal swing with your driver. The sidespin that's created at impact will hold the ball straight in the wind.
Try this simple golf tip the next time you play in a crosswind and you'll see just how simple it is.
