Try the driver for putting practice
Belly putters have steadily grown in popularity, as many players feel they make for a more stable stroke.
The belly putter method also forces your shoulders to aim directly at the target through impact - this is what you are looking for regardless of your stroke style. You can develop this fundamental element of putting by practising with your driver.
Hold the shaft below the grip and fix the butt end of the club into your midriff. To keep the driver stable in your stomach, you are forced to keep your shoulders over the ball and square to the target.
Hit a series of practice putts with your driver, then repeat the stroke with a shorter putter in hand.
