Rotate and wait..for more power

Pause at the top for power

To find the powerful strike that you need when hitting a fairway wood off the deck, it's important to make a full body turn.

When I make a practice swing I think about pausing for a fraction of a second at the top of the backswing. This helps me complete my body turn, preventing me from starting the downswing before I'm ready.

From here my body can rotate powerfully through the ball helping to deliver good clubhead speed at impact.
