Back and through for consistency
On the green I concentrate on delivering a basic, straight-back-and-through stroke.
This drill focuses your mind on this simple swing and will also improve the quality of your ball strike.
Find a flat six-foot putt and place a strip of metal on the ground between yourself and the hole (a couple of long steel rules will do). Practise swinging your putter and hitting the ball along this line.
As you develop a consistent stroke and pure strike, you will be able to roll the ball along the strip of metal and into the hole without it toppling off.
