Keeping your head still on putts

With a good score in sight, nervous tension can cause wayward putting.

Eager to see where the ball finishes, many amateurs look up lifting their shoulders just as they strike the ball.

The only way to produce consistently accurate results is to keep you head at the same height throughout the putt. In a pressurised situation keep your head still as you hit the ball and count to two.

Focus on the shot in hand without worrying about the results. On the practice green work on turning, not lifting, your head to follow it to its destination.
