Simon Khan: use your hands to hit a draw

Simon Khan - Using your hands

Simon Khan demonstrating how you use your hands you effectively hit a draw

Many players like to hit a draw simply by aiming their body to the right and the clubface at the target at address . This is a good way of doing it and you should see immediate results. Personally, I find that this technique can generate too much sidespin.

Simon Khan's in-to-out draw drill

Use your body to hit a draw

I prefer to take a normal set up but generate the required sidespin by releasing my hands more aggressively through impact. After you’ve hit the ball your right hand should be on top of your left as shown – the clubface should almost be pointing at the ground. By turning the clubface over through impact you’ll get the flight you’re after.
