Golf tip of the week from Andrew Jones: Use a notebook

Andrew Jones is one of Golf Monthly's Top 25 Coaches. There's plenty more from Andrew in the Golf Monthly April issue, but right now we're giving you one of his top tips - using a notebook during practise.

Very few amateurs use a notebook when they practise, but it can be very helpful. Note down any drills or swing thoughts that have helped you hit the ball better. Record your progress and this will give you some tangible evidence that the hard work is paying off. Again, when the season gets into full swing your notebook will be worth its weight in gold.

- Plugged-lie practice

- Mental game: Manage your expectations

- Master the 30-yard bunker shot
