Keeping your swing short around the greens

Don't overswing

When you make a short swing, it's easy to keep the clubhead moving along the target line.

Also, using a long swing for a short shot increases the risk of the duff or thin.

If you're coming down on the ball from a longer backswing it is easy to decelerate.

So, around the green, make a long swing only when the situation absolutely demands it.
