Alter your grip
If you've failed to hit the green, chipping close can be a painful blow for your opponent in match play.
Move your hands down the grip to increase your control of the clubhead but remember not to squeeze too tightly – this will destroy your feel for the shot.
Soft hands are crucial on short shots around the putting surface.
