Check your landing zone
When you are chipping under pressure it is important to weigh up the shot as if you are putting.
Take a close look at the lie of the green, select a club and then identify the perfect spot to land your ball.
Remember that if there is nothing to carry (like a bunker or sprinkler head), the safest strategy is to use a straighter-faced club to get the ball rolling like a putt as soon as possible.
