The Anti-Scoop

The Anti-Scoop drill has been designed with the high-handicapper in mind, to essentially prevent them from scooping there chips.

This is a drill mainly aimed at high handicappers who often have the problem of scooping their chip shots. If you have two clubs lying around your club professional should be able to help you create a training aid like the one to the right.

Practice you chipping with the extra long shaft pushed up against your left side throughout the stroke. This will help you get the feeling of hitting the ball rather than scooping at it.
