Graham Walker, one of Golf Monthly's Top 25 Coaches, is lead coach to the England A squad and technical coach to the Under-18 squad. He is also Head Professional at The Oaks Golf Club.
Notable coaching achievements: My first notable achievement was working with three young golfers, all junior members of golf clubs to tour player level and watching one of them play in the World Open and the other two playing down the stretch of a European Tour event where they finished 2nd and 3rd. I have coached the 2005 and 2007 English Amateur Champions as well as personally coached two players in the 2007 Walker Cup team. I have taken five players to European Tour victories.
I am presently Lead Coach to the England Under 21 squad and technical coach to the England Elite and Under 18 squad.
For the past 11 years I have been involved in Yorkshire Golf. During my time with them Yorkshire have won the English County Championship eight times, been Northern Counties champions for 10 out of the 11 years and recently completed a hat trick of English County Finals wins.
Coaching philosophy: Is to help each and every player I coach to be as good as they can possible be; to create opportunities for players to learn, for me to coach and to get the player to realise what they need to do to improve, enabling them to ask questions of themselves and of their coach. In summary - coiaching golfers to become more competitive.
Best tip: I believe in trying to improve many aspects of a player. Not only the golf swing, but also a players scoring skills too. If a player improves their ability to score, they enjoy the game more.

I have lessons with Graham Walker, and he is magnificent. He has all the equipment, picks up on the small details that make a difference. I have a handful of lessons with him and I have improved greatly. Nice, kind guy to.
