Best tip for curing a slice: The first port of call should be to ensure that your basic fundamentals are sound. Once this has been checked and is good I find most people slice due to poor out-to-in swing path through the hitting area leading to inactive hand action holding the club face open, if you change your path your hands will have to start working.
Best course management tip: When most golfers miss a green it’s usually because they haven’t taken enough club. This also happens to be where the majority of the trouble surrounding the green is so always take plenty of club. Also give yourself a good margin for error by aiming at the centre of the green - if you hit it you will never be far from the flag.
Equipment buying advice: Do some homework and read up on the latest reviews and technical info so that you know what’s out there.Visit a reputable club fitting centre with facilities that preferably allows you to see the ball flight.
Who to follow on Tour: Trevor Immelman. He has great fundamentals which lead to a technically sound, powerful and wonderfully balanced action. He never looks as though he has to make any mid swing compensations which under extreme pressure is vital.
