Watch and learn
It might sound strange but where you lay your bag by the side of the green can have a huge impact on how you read the subsequent putt.
Let me explain. Place your bag down on the edge of the green that allows you to look at your putt from behind the hole as you walk on.
The second half of any putt is the most important to consider as the ball naturally takes more of the slope as it slows down.
So walk onto the green from behind the hole and you'll be well positioned to predict how the ball will break.
