Greg Norman signs with TaylorMade

After great success at the Open Championship in 2008 using the TaylorMade TP Red Ball, Greg Norman has joined the TaylorMade team ahead of the US Masters at Augusta National.

Greg Norman has joined the TaylorMade tour staff ahead of the US Masters at Augusta National, Georgia, where he’ll be using their driver, irons, ball, staff bag as well as sporting the logo on the side of his headwear.

The relationship began when ‘The Great White’ decided to use the TaylorMade TP Red golf ball with at the Open Championship, which he led going into the final round before finishing tied for third.

The Australian said: “I’m pleased discussions have evolved to the extent that I am now a member of the TaylorMade Staff. TaylorMade’s approach to the game and equipment design is very similar to my own.

“In my opinion, TaylorMade is at the very forefront of golf equipment and ball technology.”

In preparation for the US Masters at Augusta National, TaylorMade’s tour technicians have fitted Norman with a full set of TaylorMade clubs. He will carry a custom fitted R9 driver and will be using the TaylorMade Tour Preferred irons.

TaylorMade-adidas Golf Chief Executive Officer and President, Mark King, added: "It is exciting to be working with Greg and seeing him go out there and give these guys all they can handle."

The US Masters gets underway on April 9 at Augusta National, Georgia.
