The final scrap for places at this year's Open has started - find out who's fairing well
Adam Hodgkinson, an 18 year-old amateur from Hallowes Golf Club in Derbyshire has fired a seven under par round of 66 to lead Local Final Qualifying at Downfield. The England under-21 squad player made six birdies and an eagle to give himself a two shot cushion at the top of the field. It was however, a disappointing day for former BMW Championship winner, Andrew Oldcorn who shot a four over-par 77 at Downfield.
The British duo of Zane Scotland and Eric Ramsay currently lead the way at Panmure on four under with one round to play. Former Ryder Cup star, Thomas Levet is well placed two shots behind, tied for sixth with three other players.
The lowest score at Montrose came from the Australian, Matthew Zions. His round of 65 leaves him two shots clear of Justin Kehoe in second.
At Monifeith, Daniel Wood of The Oxfordshire stands at the head of the field after shooting an impressive 64 to lead by two.
