Daniel Gaunt of Australia shot a course-record, ten-under-par round of 60 on his way to a 66 Pro Tour victory on the Old Course at Surrey’s Burhill Golf Club.

In an outstanding display, Gaunt did not drop a single shot, slotting eight birdies and an eagle at the par-4 12th.

The Australian, who has now triumphed three times on the 66 Pro Tour, won by an emphatic margin of eight shots, further solidifying his position at the top of the Order of Merit.

Lee James, who won the tour’s previous event at The Grove, finished in a tie for second together with Mike McLean and Paul Nessling.

The tour’s next event is on August 1 at the Berkshire Golf Club.

The Order of Merit’s top 66 players will qualify for the Tour Final, to be held at Surrey’s prestigious Walton Heath Golf Club on October 27.
