International Rachel Jennings finished fifth to become the leading English player in the European ladies’ amateur championship at Schloss Schonborn, Austria.
Rachel from Izaak Walton in Staffordshire, was two-over par for the 72 hole tournament. The 20-year-old won the French lady junior championship earlier this season.
Another England international, Naomi Edwards of Ganton in Yorkshire, was one shot behind in sixth place. Her final round of two-under par 71 equalled the low score of the day.
Curtis Cup player Liz Bennett, of Brokenhurst Manor, Hampshire, tied 10th on five-over par.
The championship was won, for the second time, by Carlota Ciganda who beat fellow Spaniard Maria Hernandez in a three-hole play-off after they tied on three-under par.
