Barry Lane has successfully defended his Cleveland Golf and Srixon Scottish Seniors Open title.

The Englishman holed out for an eagle on the last hole to seal victory on the Torrance Course at The Fairmont St Andrews.

Lane’s brilliant finish snatched victory from NBC commentator and six-time PGA Tour winner Gary Koch, who was playing on an invite from Cleveland Golf and Srixon.

Lane’s caddie, Iain Watson, doubled his success for the week after carrying the bag for the winner of a two-day event being hosted by Cleveland Golf and Srixon at the start of the week.

Ben Clayton from Hindhead Golf Club won the individual prize while Darren Bragg of the North London Golf Academy and Nick Avery won a team prize in the first event.

Over 150 competitors took part in the two Pro-Am events, with prizes being supplied by TAG Heuer.

Cleveland Golf and Srixon European marketing manager, Ben Davis, said: “The Cleveland Golf and Srixon Scottish Seniors Open was a huge success once again.

“It provides us with the unique opportunity to allow our top retailers and customers to experience tournament golf in a fun environment, while the main event is one of the flagship events of the European Seniors Tour circuit and one we are proud to sponsor.”
