The Belfry welcomed hundreds of golfers during its Open Day on Saturday 5 March as four European Tour stars, plus eight of the world's leading golf brands turned out to offer free custom-fit clinics.
Expert advice was provided by European Tour players Richard Finch, David Lynn, Gary Boyd and Danny Willett, as well as Demo Teams from eight brands and over 20 Belfry PGA professionals.
As well as free golf tuition, the very latest equipment from the world's leading manufacturers was available for trial and Srixon/Cleveland Golf exhibited its new Tour Truck, where visitors sampled custom fitting opportunities only available to the very best players on the European and PGA Tours.
"With four European Tour players hosting free-of-charge clinics, it was no surprise that visitors were so keen to come along for the day," said Matt Roberts, Head Professional and OPS Manager.
"The eight brands had their latest equipment on show, which golfers can now be custom fitted for, free of charge, once they've purchased the clubs at The Belfry."
Golfers of all abilities were able to take advantage of numerous clinics hosted by The Belfry's PGA professionals, including long game, short game, bunker play and putting lessons, which all took place in and around the PGA National Golf Academy.
"Perhaps as important as attracting four European Tour players on the one day was the fact we welcomed such a wide range of golfers, including a significant amount of juniors and also those who had never played the game before," added Gary Silcock, Director of Golf at The Belfry.
