Byrne did a Q&A, told stories from the Tour and brought kit along for attendees to try.

Organised through the Cameron Collector website, the day was a low key event but one of a series of national and regional events held all over the world.

Scotty Cameron putters are used on both the PGA and European Tours by Jordan Spieth, Adam Scott, Marc Leishman, Jimmy Walker and Brooks Koepka among others.

Cameron started his own company, Cameron Golf International, in 1992 with his wife, Kathy. The aim was to create the best putters for professionals players. One year later, Bernhard Langer used one of his putters to win the Masters.

To date, 31 major championships have been won using Scotty Cameron putters.
