3 Hammers Golf Complex: K-Vest 3D Teaching Technology
The 3 Hammers Golf Complex was designed by Sir Henry Cotton and it was the first of its type in Europe. Complex Owner Ian Bonser bought the business and it has continued to grow culminating in a £1 million investment over the last 2 years and now stands as a comprehensive and unique golfing experience.
Several top golf professionals have used the K-Vest 3D Teaching Technology to improve their golf swings which allows the golfer to view video, 3D animation and key swing data.
Three wireless sensors on a vest worn by the golfer collects 360 degree data from the golf swing including alignment of hips, shoulders, arms and posture. The revolutionary technology enables 3 Hammers Golf Instructors to more effectively analyse the golf swing in 3D and provide real-time audio and visual feedback with outstanding results. This technology beats normal video as video is shot at 30 frames per second and the K-Vest at 120 frames per second.
Top golf teaching expert David Leadbetter supports the technology saying: "The K-VEST makes it possible to collect precise biomechanical data allowing unprecedented insight into the mechanics of the golf swing. I’m confident that this technology is the future of golf instruction". 3 Hammers Golf Professional Piers Ward said: “The Golf Performance Studio will allow us to take golf teaching into a new dimension. Golfers keen to improve their game, whether amateur or professional, will benefit from this unique indoor, air conditioned facility”.
