The biggest golf event in the Midlands during 2010 is set to take place on Sunday 24 October at The Belfry, where the latest equipment from leading manufacturers will be showcased and players of all abilities will receive free tuition tips.

Staged at the resort's PGA National Golf Academy from 10am until 8pm, the Open Day will feature the latest golf equipment from nine of the world's leading brands, plus a host of fun activities and special offers.

For the first time in the Midlands, the new Titleist 910 woods will be available for purchase; meanwhile PING's new K15 and Faith Series clubs will also be on sale.

The latest equipment from Callaway, Wilson, Mizuno, Nike and TaylorMade will also be on show and can all be tested on the 34-bay driving range in the Academy.

TaylorMade will be exhibiting its new Tour truck with custom fitting opportunities normally only available to top players like Europe's Ryder Cup stars Martin Kaymer, Peter Hanson and Edoardo Molinari.

The new TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons will be available for purchase, while the tour-proven Ghost putter will also be on sale to the public.

The Open Day also sees a series of custom fit taster sessions and tuition clinics taking place in the National Custom Fit Centre, which boasts the largest demo stock in Europe and state-of-the-art launch monitors from the top equipment companies in five specialist fitting suites.

The Belfry's professionals will also be on hand to provide free dedicated junior schools, plus there will be the chance to win fantastic prizes in 'Longest Drive' and 'Nearest the Pin' competitions. All visitors will each receive free Academy membership worth £50.
