England's Atlantic Links is, in many ways, the ideal place for golfers looking for a summer holiday at home with the family this year.

There are six golf clubs that make up the Links offer, with three counties seperating these wonderful courses.
Burnham & Berrow
, in Somerset, boasts a history featuring legendary JH Taylor as their first ever professional.

Meanwhile Royal North Devon produced Taylor, a five-time Major winner - firstly as a caddie and labourer as an 11-year-old. Saunton East and West, both of which possess spectacular landscapes and have hosted numerous professional and amateur championships, are also situated in Devon.

Finally, Cornwall offers St Enodoc, which holds the tallest bunker in Europe, and Trevose, which is typified by enormous cliffs overlooking the course.

Peter McMullen, the general manager of Saunton Golf Club, said: "Whilst England's Atlantic Links boasts some of the finest links golf in the country, we are also lucky enough to be located within a region that offers an enormous variety of activities and attractions off the course."

Accommodation standards have risen, and hotels - a mixture of four and five stars - situate themselves within the region and now have fantastic facilities to help you settle in.
