Golf Monthly has teamed up with PGA Pros and YouTube sensations Rick Shiels and Peter Finch for a groundbreaking partnership

The UK’s No.1 golf media brand, Golf Monthly, has joined forces with PGA Professionals and YouTube stars, Rick Shiels and Peter Finch, to form an exciting content collaboration that will see both sides get together to produce engaging print and digital content for golfers who want to get the most out of their games.

The collaboration will see the Manchester-based PGA Pros appear regularly in the magazine and present a series of exclusive instruction videos for Golf Monthly’s YouTube channel.

As part of the collaboration, members of the GM team will feature in videos to be broadcast on the duo’s YouTube channels, which currently have over 70,000 subscribers accessing their mix of tuition videos, equipment reviews, course vlogs and Monday Night Golf Shows.

Rick Shiels says: “We were flattered to receive approaches from all of the main golf magazines, but after meeting Mike in Orlando at the PGA Show, Peter and I felt that Golf Monthly stood out as the brand that best understood what we are trying to achieve and provides the most exciting opportunities for us to work together across all our different platforms.”

Mike Harris, Golf Monthly’s editor, says: “Everyone at GM is big fans of the content Rick and Peter have been producing on their YouTube channels. Their passion for the game and innovative, dynamic style has caught the imagination of a global golfing audience and we felt there was an opportunity for us to work together and inspire golfers everywhere to enjoy their golf and take their games to the next level.”

Peter Finch adds: “It promises to be a really exciting time ahead for Rick and me. We think there’s a great synergy between us and Golf Monthly and we are looking forward to working with Mike, Neil and the team to produce some innovative content for both the magazine and all our YouTube channels.”

Neil Tappin, Golf Monthly’s digital editor, says: “Rick and Peter bring a fresh approach and their unique presentation style will offer something very different to the type of content we are known for. The collaboration promises to provide a compelling proposition for golfers searching for engaging content.”

The collaboration has already kicked off with the GM team spending a day filming with Rick and Peter at their Trafford Golf Centre base. The pair also spent two days coaching members of the public in the Golf Monthly zone at the Manchester Golf Show held earlier this month.
