Teeing off at 6am, they played 54 holes in one day at three top courses, including Wentworth, which has hosted luminaries such as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Nick Faldo and annually hosts the PGA Championship, and Senior Masters. After walking in the footsteps of these champions, the fundraisers showed their skill at The Grove, which recently hosted the World Golf Championship, and finished at 8.30pm at Moor Park, home to several national junior events.
The participants were Robert Best, Harry Black, John Crouch, David Fogel, Jack Goulde, Robert Kanerick, Anthony Khalastchi, Roger Nyman, Andrew Nyman, Paresh Radia, Edward Rom, Robert Smith, Simon Sterling, Marc Waterman, Richard Wolff, and Marc Worth.
They were fundraising for a fantastic cause, said Ian Tate, Norwood s Head of Challenges. The money they raised will help support the needs of children and families with learning disabilities or coping with social difficulties.
