Major Champion Rory McIlroy has opened the world’s premiere Nike Performance Fitting Centre at Archerfield Links.
Nike athlete Rory McIlroy has opened the new Nike Performance Fitting Centre at Archerfield Links, the first facility of its kind for Nike Golf in the world.
The Nike Performance Fitting Centre has been built to help golfers maximize their potential by providing them with the ultimate custom-fitting experience.
Golfers will also receive a complete game analysis from Archerfield’s elite coaching panel that includes former Ryder Cup player Andrew Coltart and leading European Tour coach Gary Nicol.
Golfers will be able to experience the same attention-to-detail that Nike Golf Tour athletes receive by booking in for one of several fitting experiences offered at the Performance Fitting Centre.
Two-time Major champion McIlroy, who has won twice since switching to the VRS Covert 2.0 Tour driver and RZN Black golf ball, gave the assembled guests a masterclass of ball striking as he went through his bag, from wedges to his VRS Covert 2.0 Tour driver.
A celebratory plaque has been commissioned to mark the occasion.
McIlroy said, “it was great to be part of the launch event and it’s brilliant to see all of the hard work the teams at Nike Golf and Archerfield have put in, come to fruition.
“Regardless of your ability, regardless of your handicap or your experience in the game, the premium services offered at the Performance Fitting Centre will improve your game.
“Golfers will have the opportunity to be fitted to a whole new level than ever before, and the constant development of Nike Golf means they will have the best equipment in their bag,” he added.
Nike Golf EMEA Generla Manager, Angus Moir said, “What we have at Archerfield is the ultimate fitting experience for golfers who want to improve their game.
“Whether they come for an hour session, half a day or the full three-day experience, we are confident they will be delighted with the services offered.'
In addition to the two stunning courses designed by DJ Russell, the Archerfield Links Estate boasts a 17th century Mansion House, ethical spa (recently voted in the top-six new spas in Europe), gym and a range of luxurious accommodation just outside Edinburgh and in easy reach by road, rail and air.
The consumer experience will include on-course coaching and a full bag, ball, outwear and footwear fitting using the latest technology.
Their personalized, specially built clubs will be delivered to the club in time for a playing lesson during their stay.
