Surrounded by over 1,000 acres of Grade 1 listed parkland, golfers can walk in the footsteps of Queen Mary and Winston Churchill whilst enjoying breathtaking views of the stunning Mansion House and Estate.

While golf has been at Luton Hoo since the turn of the Century, the original golf course was destroyed during the Second World War and subsequently made into a 9-hole Victorian style course.  It has now been transformed into an impressive 18-hole course providing invigorating play for all levels of ability and offering four different tees to play off.

Built amongst Capability Brown designed landscapes, the greens stretch 7,107 yards with a par 73 and follow a series of subtly challenging landscapes.  There are six holes which feature a lake and streams interlink picturesque water features.

The course is sympathetic to the historical significance of the area; 1,500 oak, beech and sweet chestnut saplings have been transplanted from the Estate whilst large areas of the course have also been sown with wildflower offering a natural, rugged and open feel.  The greens and tees have been constructed to USGA standards and allow for seasonal play.

Off the course, the 19th hole and Adam’s Bar provide thirst-quenching refreshments and Adam’s Brasserie serves classic dishes.  For a more formal or corporate dining experience, the Wernher Restaurant set in the Mansion House, is ideal.

Golfers and their guests can also choose to ease tired muscles, relax and rejuvenate in The Spa at Luton Hoo. The UK Soil Association certified Circaroma spa product range has been inspired by the plants and herbs growing in Luton Hoo’s gardens and parkland.  Packages include the ‘par–fect day’ which includes a classic pedicure, aromatic foot bath and deep tissue massage.

An individual club membership at Luton Hoo entitles members to full use of the golf course and facilities including the gym, infinity pool, sauna and steam room, tennis courts and fitness classes.   Special guest rates are also provided, in addition to unlimited golf credits and the ability to reserve tee times in advance.  A Club Professional is on hand at all times to assist with individual improvements.

A single annual membership rate costs £3,000 whilst joint membership cost £5,600 which includes VAT at 17.5%.  These rates are valid until 31 March 2009.
