The event will showcase a number of leading golfers from both the men's and women's tours.

The Berenberg Gary Player Invitational at the Wentworth Club has announced a strong line-up ahead of the tournament next month.

The event, which will take place on July 20th, will be attended by legends of the game, such as Masters winners Fred Couples and Mark O'Meara and former Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance.

They will be joned by more recent Masters winners Zach Johnson and Charl Schwartzel, as well as Jason Dufner and Marc Leishman from the men's tours.

The women's tour will also be well represented, with recent Manulife LPGA Classic winner Suzann Pettersen and Britain's Charley Hull, Melissa Reid and Amy Boulden among those taking part.

Money raised from the event will be donated to Depaul UK, a charity that helps young homeless people.

This year also commemorates the 50th anniversary of Players' career Grand Slam, which he completed by winning the US Open in 1965.

Player said: "I can't wait to head to one of my favourite places in the world, Wentworth, to be amongst them all and help raise more money for this year's fantastic charity, Depaul UK.

"I recently visited Depaul's London-based Willesden Green Hostel for young homeless people, so I know exactly what a massive difference the money we raise makes," he added.

The event is part of the Gary Player Invitational charity golf event series and has raised over $60million.

Sponsor Berenberg's 425th anniversary will also be celebrated.
