Janette Burt is arranging her next fundraising event on Friday 26 November in the Oak Room of the Brocket Hall Golf Club to help raise funds for the employment of an Admiral Nurse in Hertfordshire.

Janette is the primary carer for her husband who has frontal

lobe dementia and has taken it upon herself to personally organise events to raise funds.

There are currently over 820,000 people living with dementia in the UK and only 82 Admiral Nurses. Furthermore, one in three of us will be affected by dementia at some point in our lives.

Dementia UK supports Admiral Nurses, who are specialist mental health nurses providing both practical and emotional support not only to the person suffering from dementia but also their carer.

The charity has come a long way since its inception in 1994 and now has in the region of 82 Admiral Nurses around the country.

The fundraiser at Brocket Hall Golf Club is a three-course dinner, auction and dance. There will be 2010 Ryder Cup flags to auction with the European flag signed by members of the European team along with golfing memorabilia from Ian Poulter and a signed copy of Colin Montgomerie's autobiography.

Tables of ten are being sold for £500 or individual places for £55.00 per person.
