Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship to return

Oceanico Golf will host the World Kids Golf Championship at the Amendoeira Golf Resort in the Algarve from 23-27 July

Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship

The Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship is set to return in July this year following the success of the last three events.

Hosted in the Algarve, the event welcomes young golfers from around the world to compete on the Oceanico Faldo and Oceanico O'Connor Jnr courses at the Amendoeira Golf Resort.

With the support of the Portuguese Golf Federation and several other European leading golf federations, boys and girls between the ages of seven and eighteen will have the opportunity to play on the two championship courses.

There will be a variety of age categories for the tournament, with those aged 10 years and older playing three rounds of 18 holes over the course of the three days. Children under 10 will play 9 holes each day.

Each player's score will count towards their gross score total for the Championship, with prizes going to the first three competitors in each age category for both boys and girls.

Chris Stilwell, Oceanico Golf's CEO, said: "We're excited about the fourth successive Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship, which will be our biggest and best to date.

"It's a great concept that welcomes young golfers from around the world to enjoy a competitive event, which is fun-filled and enjoyable for all the family. Sign up's so far have been overwhelming and I strongly encourage those who haven't done so already, to do so soon to avoid disappointment."
