Three-time European Tour champion Soren Kjeldsen and renowned trick-shot artist Paul Barrington have been confirmed for Golf Live 2013 at the Celtic Manor Resort.
Kjeldsen will be making his Golf Live debut, and will be helping to demonstrated how to get up and down from a range of real-life scenarios in the Cleveland/Srixon Short Game Zone.
Kjeldsen earned his European Tour card in 1997 and has been one of the circuit’s most consistent performer since then.
The Dane won at Gleneagles in 2003, the coveted Volvo Masters in 2008 and the Open de Andalucia the following year.
His sixth-place finish at the 2009 US PGA Championship propelled him to 31st in the Official World Golf Ranking. Since then, he’s recorded 38 top 10 finishes on the European Tour.
“I’m really excited to be making my appearance at Golf Live having heard so many good things about it over the past three years,” said Kjeldsen.
“I enjoy meeting club golfers in pro-ams and Golf Live will give me a better opportunity to pass on more advice on how to get the best from their games.”
Barrington entertained the crowds at Golf Live in 2012 with his breathtaking array of trick shots, including shots hit with hose pipe shafts and clubs varying from 2ft to 7ft in length.
“I take my trick shots all over the world but the display at Golf Live drew one of the best responses I’ve ever had,” he said.
“It was great fun to interact so closely with the audience and involve them in parts of the routine.”
Former world long drive champion Joe Miller will also be making the trip to Celtic Manor, along with event ambassador Colin Montgomerie.
All these golfing personalities will be miked up and performing at Golf Live’s live theatres, which allow spectators to get much closer to the players than any other golf event.
Golf Live 2013 will also feature the inaugural Celebrity Cup, where 24 celebrities from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will take part in a round-robin competition.
The likes of Sir Steve Redgrave, Rob Brydon and Kenny Dalglish have all been confirmed for the event.
