The Volvo National Golf Club Challenge is the UK’s largest amateur charity golf competition, supporting Help for Heroes.

Clubs across the UK and Ireland are encouraged to raise as much money as possible for Help For Heroes before staging qualifying rounds during May, June and July.

Each club then submits its best five scores in various categories, with the top six clubs from four qualifying regions going through to the semi-finals. The final is then contested at Open venue Turnberry.

To supplement earnings from the competition, the Volvo National Golf Club Challenge has launched a range of other fundraising activities to raise money for the charity.

One of those is the fantastic ‘Year of Golf‘ auction, where golfers and organisations have the chance to bid for more than 110 fourballs across some of Great Britain’s best courses.
