EXCLUSIVE TaylorMade Burner and r7 SuperQuad

Golf Monthly previews the new TaylorMade Burner and r7 SuperQuad drivers

One of the leadeing companies in driver technology, TaylorMade, has added two new drivers to its already impressive range for 2007.

It has been nearly three years since the company introduced the 400cc r7 quad. That club was at the forefront of moveable weight technology and now TaylorMade has taken things to a new level with the 460cc r7 SuperQuad. The black finish of the new model undoubtedly makes it stand out from the crowd and this is the only 460cc driver with four weight ports and 26g of movable weight.

The TaylorMade Burner is designed for players with fast clubhead speed or, as TaylorMade explains, those who like ?to grip-it-and-rip-it?. The 460cc driver weighs 299g ? approximately 20g less than a typical 460cc driver. The Burner is designed to promote a high draw thanks to its 1° closed clubface. A permanent weight cartridge is located in the middle-back of the sole to pull the centre of gravity deep and low into the head.

Both drivers will be available in TP models which are designed to suit better ball strikers.
