As part of St Andrew?s Week the British Golf Museum is offering free entry to the famous museum.
Situated just 67 yards from the 1st tee of the Old Course, the museum is full of exhibits and unusual displays, which follow the history of the game from its origins in the Middle Ages right through to the 21st century. Rare black and white film footage, dating to the early 1900s, allows a glimpse of the game?s early professionals in action. You can view Open Championship highlights from as far back as 1926 to the current day or test your knowledge of The Rules of Golf. There is also the opportunity to interact by dressing up in period golf costume or practise putting using replica clubs and balls from the last 175 years.
Between Saturday 25th November and Sunday 3rd December, the museum will be free for all as part of the St Andrew?s Festival Week celebrations. The museum is open from 10 am to 4 pm daily.
