Who gets your vote for the coveted Golfer of the Year Award from Golf Monthly? It's the award all the top pros are after, up there with the Claret Jug and Green Jacket.
When Tiger Woods completed his Grand Slam in 2001 he got the illustrious Golfer of the Year 2001 Golf Monthly online Award. Woods walked away with the title and a bag of tees and a dozen Nike golf balls.
When we collect the votes at the end of this year, unless 'Other' wins, either USPGA champion Martin Kaymer, US Open champion Graeme McDowell, or new world number one (at the time of writing) Lee Westwood, will be walking away with a gift from the Golf Monthly equipment cupboard. Prizes don't get much bigger.
