This week the European Tour are in the subcontinent, check out who we think will do well with our Hero Indian Open golf betting tips
Hero Indian Open golf betting tips
The European Tour heads to the subcontinent and the Hero Indian Open, the first time the event has been on the main tour.
Played at Delhi Golf Club, the course was originally designed by General J.H Wilkinson and re-designed by Peter Thomson in the 1970s.
It’s a flat layout with extremely narrow fairways lined by trees and bushes – accuracy from the tee will be very important this week.
In the markets the field is led by Anirban Lahiri, who won a fortnight ago in Malaysia, at 13/2 and Miguel Angel Jimenez at 10/1, who finished top 10 last week.
I am going to stay clear of these two this week, as I feel Lahiri may have used up all his luck and three tournaments in three different countries in as many weeks may have taken its toll on Jimenez,
As ever the £10 challenge with DownThe 18th continues this week, following the body blow of them tipping a 100/1 winner last week that you can read about in their blog.
Hero Indian Open golf betting tips – advised bets
Shiv Kapur £2 each way at 22/1 This is his home course, he finished in 11th place last week in Thailand and will even be staying in his own house. Surprised he is not a little shorter.
Jyoti Randhawa £1 each way at 40/1 Has won the Indian Open twice at this course in 2006 and 2007 and appears to be in decent nick having finished in the top 15 last week.
Richard T Lee £1 each way at 40/1 The Canadian is in fabulous touch having finshed top 5 in both Malaysia and Thailand. Shot a final round of 66 last week so has momentum on his side as well.
Angelo Que £1 each way at 100/1 We tipped him last week and appeared to still be suffering from some early season rust. In this weaker field I am expecting him to bounceback.
Odds from Paddy Power, Each way bets 1/4 odds Top 5.
