IK Kim of South Korea carded a final round of 68 to cruise to a five-shot victory over Australia’s Nikki Campbell in the ISPS HANDA Ladies European Masters at Buckinghamshire Golf Club.

Kim scored four birdies on her front nine to solidify her position at the top of the leaderboard and she held on over the back nine to secure her fifth win as a professional and her first victory since the Lorena Ochoa Invitational of 2010.

“It’s great to win the tournament and this is my first time playing the course so I’m really honoured to win the championship,” she said. “I feel like I’ve been hitting the ball really well and putting really well so I just had to go out there and enjoy myself.”

Stephanie Meadow of Northern Ireland, in her second start as a professional after coming third in the U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst, produced an outstanding final round of 63 to charge through the pack and end the week in a tie for third with Lee-Anne Pace of South Africa and Germany’s Caroline Masson.

“It’s been a dream start but it’s also a dream to play in this environment. US Open and here: the bigger the better! It’s more fun. Being out here playing for a crowd is what I love to do,” said Meadow.

There was good news for Hannah Jun of the USA and Ladies European Tour rookies Amy Boulden and Sally Watson. As the leading LET Tour members not already exempt for the Ricoh Women’s British Open, they secured spots at Royal Birkdale.
