Jason Bohn picked up his second PGA Tour title in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana with a two-shot victory over fellow American Jeff Overton.

Bohn who last tasted Tour success at the 2005 BC Open, led going into the final round and fired a closing 67. It gave the chasing pack little chance of catching him.

Overton posed the greatest threat to Bohn’s supremacy. He twice managed to tie Bohn at the top of the leaderboard as he made his way to a closing 66. But Bohn finished strongly with birdies at the 15th and 16th. When the 37-year-old’s approach to the 72nd green ended only two inches from the cup, the tournament was won.

“This is life changing,” said Bohn. “”I want to take this one to the grave. I want to remember every little detail that I missed on my first one.”

Troy Merritt
had earlier made a run at the lead making five birdies and an eagle in a seven-hole stretch from the 7th to the 13th. Two time US Open winner Lee Janzen closed with a 69 to finish alone in fourth, one ahead of Greg Chalmers of Australia.
